What We Did

The new branch library for Fairfield Township explores the path of travel as a genesis of building form and draws inspiration from the natural landscape.

The Lane Libraries selected CDA to design a new Fairfield Township Branch to serve this growing community. The 22,000-square-foot facility responds to the slope of the site and is inspired by the landscape. The exterior incorporates outdoor programming space and public art. The interior features a color palette of earth tones complemented by pops of color likened to wildflowers. The facility features mass timber construction that further adds to the warmth of the space. This new branch includes children's, teen, and adult programming areas accompanied by reading nooks, study rooms, and meeting space, all of which reflect Lane's mission of delivering community-oriented, user-friendly programs, technologies, and services.

Construction of the $12 million facility commences in May 2025. CDA and its team of consultants is providing full Architectural and Interior Design services, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Structural Engineering, PME Engineering, and Technology consulting.
